A bridge in Moray is to have a weight limit imposed on it for the next 18 months due to its weakened condition.

Heavy Goods Vehicles weighing more than 7.5 tonnes will be barred from crossing Cappieshill Bridge from June 28 until Christmas next year.

The bridge is on the C31E Leuchars Road, south-east of the Milltown airfield.

Not the easiest to see, but the airfield is at the top of the picture. The brown road marked on the left is the B9103 back route to Lossiemouth.

A Moray Council spokesperson said: "Owing to protection of the weakened structure it will be necessary in the interests of public safety to apply the temporary restriction to traffic."
