The best soloists from each part of Moray are set to battle it out on March 23, with the winner going forward as the region's entry for the Scottish Young Musician competition.
Leading the judges will be Alistair Hardie, the retired musical director of the Culbin Singers.
Also on the panel are Jane Ferguson, a retired specialist music teacher, plus Kathleen Robertson, who as well as being the leader of Moray Council is also the chairperson of Forres and District Pipe Band.
Cllr Robertson said: "I know just how talented our young musicians across Moray are, so I’m looking forward to an evening of high class entertainment.
"The adjudication is likely to be tough as a result, but I’m honoured to be involved in this way.
