A woman has appeared in court accused of stealing more than £142,000 from Elgin Golf Club.

Barbara-Anne Rumbles, the club's former general manager who's also known as Bartlett, is accused of taking the money between November 23, 2016 and October 29, 2019.

The 48-year-old, who now lives in Coatbridge near Glasgow, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday.

No plea was entered and she was given bail.

The case was adjourned until October 4.
