MORAY has been hit with a carpet of snow this week, with temperatures reaching record lows.

While the mercury plunged as low as -22.9 degrees celcius in some areas, people have been out and about sledging, walking and making the most of the snow.

Yesterday, we asked readers to send their best wintery pictures to the Northern Scot's Facebook page. We have been totally overwhelmed by the response – with more than 750 photos coming in.

From Dyke to Teindland and Keith to Kinloss, pictures have come in from all corners of Moray, with plenty of snaps of dogs, kids enjoying the snow and local landmarks being shared.

We were left with the difficult task of choosing a handful to share with you all – and do apologise if we have missed off your submission.

Have a look below to see if your picture is included within our selected 25. Some of these pictures will also be shared in next week's Northern Scot (Feb 19) newspaper.
