Youth arrested following Buckie serious assault incident

A 16-year-old youth has been arrested following a serious assault in Buckie.

The incident occurred at around 2.20pm on Monday, April 1 on East Church Street in the town.

A 54-year-old man was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing.

Sergeant Kenneth MacConnachie from Buckie Police Station said: “There was no wider threat to the public.

“If anyone witnessed the incident, we would like you to contact us on 101, quoting 1817 of 1 April, 2024.”
