THE weather may have been a major talking point at the Barclays Scottish Open but that did not detract from the sense of excitement in Moray and the Highlands at attracting such a major sporting event to this area.

Over 50,000 people flocked to the Castle Stuart Golf Links on the Moray Firth over the five days of the event.

While the players have moved on this week to The Open Championship at Royal St George's on the Kent coastline, the talk locally has still been of the action at Castle Stuart.
