Held at the Speyside club's courts on Sunday, the event covered all 40 events contested during the championship campaign.

The overall champion, based on points being awarded for winning or coming runner-up in any of the competitions, was Marjory Stronach.

In the open events Michelle Fraser successfully defended her title against Maureen Turner while new member Henry Archibald took the men’s singles, defeating the 2021 winner Adam Macleod in the final.

There were many close-run contests but one in particular stands out. In the 14 and under girls singles, Katie McConachie defeated Taylor Smith 6-4, 6-7, 20-18 in a marathon match.

A treble winner was crowned in the junior section as Emily Shand won the 9s, 10s and 12s

The final two events, competed for by adults and youngsters over 14, are possibly the two most popular contests in the calendar. The trophies were given to the club in memory of two former members who sadly passed away too soon but remain fondly remembered by everyone at the club.

The Kenny Mackie Trophy was won by Teresa Tait and Liam Anderson. The visit of Kenny’s mum, sister and niece (Emily, Brenda and Carrie respectively) to hand over the awards was much appreciated by all concerned.

Yvonne McConnachie and family provided the club with Kev’s Cup three years ago. This year Yvonne presented the cup to Kevin’s younger son (her grandson) Alfie who was partnered by Matthew Malcolm.
