The DKMA Tang Soo Do club, based at Burdsyard Road, sent some of their skilled members to Inverness Royal Academy for their black belt testing event.

Students from all over Scotland were also in attendance, with the Forres group enduring a four-hour assessment of their talents before all seven gained promotion to the next rank.

Achieving 3rd Dan were Euan Glencross and Joshua Williams, Mark Wilson gained his 2nd Dan and the club's 1st Dan achievers were Jasmine Wilk, Murray Williams, Reece Thomas and Samual Dunbar.

The club's head coach Dominique Sutherland said: "They had to perform all their hyungs, weapons, kicking techniques, line work, board breaking and fighting.

"Joshua and Euan, who were going for 3rd Dan, also had to partake in blindfolded sparring and take parts of the testing to show their leadership skills.

"Everyone passed with flying colours and as you can see from their smiles they are all super proud

She added that the group have all worked extremely hard since the pre testing back in October and put in maximum effort in the practice and written assessments.
