THE green and white Buckie Army will be steaming into Princess Royal Park tomorrow (Saturday) hoping to cheer their heroes to Highland League Cup success.

And boss Gregg Carrol admits the supporters will have a key role to play as the Jags look to finish the season with silverware in the trophy cabinet.

“The fans have been fantastic since I arrived at the club and they are probably the best supporters in the Highland League,” said Carrol.

“They will turn out in their droves on Saturday and will give us great support.”

Buses will roll out of the town around lunchtime for the short journey along the coast to Banff.

The Buckie fans will far outnumber their Cove Rangers counterparts and that backing could be crucial.

There is set to be a cracking atmosphere inside the Banff ground, one that Carrol knows well after 10 years as boss of Deveronvale.

Despite winning two league titles with the club, he never got his hands on the league cup despite five appearances in the final.
