BUCKIE Thistle won’t be feeling sorry for themselves after their biggest home defeat in years.

Instead, manager Graeme Stewart said his squad will look to wipe out any memory of Saturday’s 8-1 crushing by Brora Rangers and focus on getting their season up and running.

Stewart is boosted by the fact that four key players are set to return to his squad for this weekend’s league trip to Fraserburgh.

A win in Buchan would be most welcome for Jags fans, particularly on the back of a demoralising result against the champions last week.

The Buckie boss admitted Brora were in ruthless form, but said his own team’s defending was “atrocious” at times and some players accepted defeat too easily.

“Brora were ruthless and although our performance wasn’t atrocious, some of our defending certainly was,” Stewart said.
