Monday’s match was the first of six fixtures Buckie face in a 12-day period. Their last two matches against Keith and Strathspey Thistle were postponed due to the wet weather.

Scott Adams’ deflected strike gave Jags the lead at the break and defender Sam Morrison added a second at the start of the second half.

Joe McCabe made it 3-0 with 11 minutes to go.

Buckie now move on to their next challenge with a home game against Brora Rangers on Wednesday, followed by a derby at home to Deveronvale on Saturday.

Rothes and Forres Mechanics fought out a 1-1 draw in the other Moray derby at Mackessack Park.

The goals came late with Shaun Morrison putting Forres ahead on 74 minutes, before Rothes defender Charlie Macdonald quickly levelled.
