Jags defeated a young Aberdeen reserve side 1-0 at Victoria Park, and now travel to Formartine United on Wednesday night in the semi-finals.

The other semi between Keith and Fraserburgh was postponed due to a Covid outbreak in the Keith camp.

It has still to be decided if the Kynoch Park match will be rescheduled or if Fraserburgh are awarded a place in the final.

Adams capitalised on a short passback to score past Elgin-based Dons keeper Tom Ritchie just before half time.

Two Highland League sides were in action in the Premier Sports Cup group stages.

Brora Rangers lost 3-0 at Montrose and newly relegated Brechin City were defeated by the same scoreline at home to Premiership Livingston.
