BUCKIE Thistle will travel to Glasgow to take on Celtic in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.

The Scottish champions will host Buckie on the weekend of January 20 in what will be a money-spinning tie for the Jags.

There is a chance the match will be on television, with four Scottish Cup fourth round matches being screened live by either ViaPlay or BBC Scotland.

The tie against the 41-time winners and defending champions is just reward for Graeme Stewart's side after a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over Broxburn Athletic yesterday.

Scott Adams was sent off early for Buckie, who then went a goal behind.

Just as it seemed the Jags were heading out of the cup, Josh Peters popped up to score from 12 yards to take the tie to extra-time.

The 10-man Jags again fell behind in extra-time, but showed fighting spirit to grab another equaliser.

Goalkeeper Stuart Knight won the first header from a corner and Peters was again on hand to equalise, this time in the 122nd minute.

That late, late leveller was followed up by a dramatic 5-4 penalty shoot-out victory to secure passage to round four.

Buckie came through round one by defeating Tayport 4-0, before Jack Murray's goal-of-the-round-winning strike gave them a 1-0 win over Forres Mechanics.

Celtic enter the competition at the fourth round stage.

The other Highland League side in the draw, Brora Rangers, were handed a home tie against League One side Cove Rangers.
