City made the trip to Station Park, the only away venue where they have picked up a league point this season in a goalless draw in August.

Since then they have lost ten in a row in all competitions on the road, though under new manager Allan Hale the Black and Whites won their last two matches at home to Peterhead and Stranraer.

Forfar hadn't won at home in the league all season and it looked good for the visitors when Ross Draper fired them into the lead on 36 minutes.

City, with new signing Michael Dangana making his debut, survived a scare when Andy Munro's goal was disallowed for offside.

Former City loanee Tyler Mykyta struck the bar for Forfar midway through the second half, before setting up fellow new signing Russell McLean for the equaliser on 71 minutes.

Elgin were hanging on but conceded a penalty for a Cameron foul on 90 minutes, resulting in a red card for the Elgin player.

McLean stepped up to score his second of the game and consign the Borough Briggs men to defeat.
