LOSSIEMOUTH have appointed an experienced pair to back up manager Charlie Charlesworth.

Former Islavale boss Jim Stables comes in as his assistant, while ex-New Elgin boss Frank McGettrick joins the club as first team coach.

Charlesworth said he is looking forward to working with them next season.

"Jim has got a football head on his shoulders and is hard working, while Frank has a lot of coaching qualifications and is keen to come and try his hand in the Highland League.

"I have full confidence in them both and think it could be an interesting package," he added.

Charlesworth had to seek a new coaching team after no.2 Stuart Cameron quit to devote more time to work and family commitments.

"Stuart had matured into a very good number two and his going left a massive void," he said.

Stables has a wealth of experience in the junior ranks, while McGettrick had spells in the Highland League as a player with Rothes and Lossiemouth. He has also coached with the Elgin City youth development.

Stables’ twin sons Finlay and James are both players at Grant Park and very much part of Charlesworth’s plans for the future.

"I have spoken to Jim many times over the years when I was at Elgin City and coaching at Ross County, when both the lads were there," said Charlesworth.
