ELGIN City have released former Albion Rovers and Stirling Albion centre back Aldin El-Zubaidi from his contract.

The 26-year-old Iraqi joined Elgin in January as a trialist before signing a deal until the end of the season.

He debuted in a 2-1 defeat at Stenhousemuir before starting the following week's 4-0 loss at Kelty Hearts, and has been an unused sub in seven matches.
