The launch took place last weekend on the Plainstones in Elgin as part of a Rugby World Cup themed food and drink festival.

The team got off to a winning start in their new kit with a victory over Ross Sutherland at Morriston in the afternoon in an RBS Caledonia Regional League Division Two North game.

The new kit features Gordon & MacPhail’s distinctive stag’s head logo on the front of the shirt.

David Urquhart said: "Gordon & MacPhail first sponsored Moray Rugby Club’s kit in 2009 and we are looking forward to our continued association. For over 116 years we have been part of the local community – we wish Moray Rugby Club good luck on the pitch as they fly the flag for the area."

Graham Stables, president of Moray Rugby Club, added: "Our continued association with such a reputable and long-standing local company is fantastic news for our club. The new kit will give the team a real boost as we start this season’s campaign."

The food and drink event included a 6ft-tall inflatable rugby ball from the New Zealand Wine Growers Association and the Scottish Rugby Union also had a fun event for budding young rugby players.
