ELGIN City manager Gavin Price hopes today’s match against Cove Rangers at Borough Briggs can prove to be the perfect chance to bounce back from a “disappointing” 1-0 loss to Stirling Albion.

Cove are top of League Two having picked up 16 points from six games, while Elgin have six points and sit seventh.

Price said: “Cove are flying and playing with a lot of confidence so we have got to be up to the challenge.

“The players are disappointed with the result on Saturday so in some ways it’s a good fixture to go into to try to bounce back. I watched their fixture at Brechin and they are creating a lot of chances. We are going to have to dig deep.”

Price said the match, which sees to old Highland League foes renew their rivalry, has a derby feel to it.

He added: “The feeling from supporters is that it’s reviving an old rivalry. For the players there is another three points at stake but it’s a game they are looking forward to.”
