ELGIN City manager Gavin Price knows that all eventualities remain possible for the Black and Whites in League Two.

City travel to East Fife on Friday night looking to cut the gap on the play-off positions to four points.

However, a defeat and City will move closer to the relegation zone, with Albion Rovers and Bonnyrigg Rose – the two teams below them – facing off on Saturday.

"It's getting to that stage of the season where we have to string some results together," Price said.

"We have games in hand so April will be really busy – and it has to be a good month. We have got to click at the right time.

"We have had a bad quarter but I know what we are capable of. This team is capable of going on a run and winning any game, whether home or away, so we have got to get into that positive mindset and go for the jugular.

"Anything is possible both ways so we have to treat every game with the utmost importance."

City will be without Ross Draper against East Fife through suspension, with fellow central defender Jevan Anderson out with an ankle injury.

However, Saturday's home match against Stenhousemuir being postponed – four hours before kick-off – has given a few key players the chance to regain fitness.

"If there had been an inspection at 8am on Saturday then the game would have been on," Price said. "The downpour killed a pitch that is already heavy and has taken a battering over winter.

"It was unfortunate. We had a full hospitality as well, so it's not something we wanted but we couldn't help that.

"We trained on the Saturday instead and having the week free has given the chance to get a few players fit."

Matthew Cooper, Jake Dolzanski, Daniel Hoban and Angus Mailer are all expected to be available for the game at Bayview against East Fife.

The match was brought forward a day at the request of both clubs, due to Scotland's Euro 2024 qualifier against Cyprus at Hampden Park on Saturday (2pm kick-off).

"It's something different so I'm looking forward to it," Price added. "If we get the win then we can go on and enjoy the weekend and watching Scotland."
