The Black and Whites were trailing 3-0 in second half stoppage time when the 52-year-old was subbed on to replace Daniel Hoban and become the oldest player in SPFL history.

Dunn, who has been part of the coaching team at Borough Briggs since 2015, conceded no further goals as City were defeated by Bonnyrigg, who secured their League Two safety in the process.

Bonnyrigg only needed a point to secure their SPFL status, but second half goals from Kieran McGachie (2) and Scott Gray (1) saw them win comfortably.

Albion Rovers – who won 2-0 against champions Stirling Albion – will instead go into the play-offs, where they will take on Spartans, who defeated Brechin City on penalties in the Highland-Lowland play-off.
