Elgin City sign Iraqi defender and former Hamilton Academical, Cowdenbeath, Stirling Albion and Albion Rovers player Aldin El-Zubaidi on short term deal

ELGIN City have signed defender Aldin El-Zubaidi for the rest of the current season.

The former Hamilton Accies stopper had featured as a trialist on City's bench in recent weeks but has yet to make his debut for the club.

City boss Gavin Price has now brought in El-Zubaidi, Rabin Omar, Aberdeen defender Evan Towler on loan and extended a loan for Cove Rangers' Ross Draper for the remainder of the campaign.

Iraqi national El-Zubaidi (26) was most recently with Albion Rovers but began his career at Hamilton and has also played for Arbroath, Cowdenbeath and Stirling Albion.

Meanwhile City's League 2 match at home to Annan Athletic has been rearranged for Tuesday, February 8.

The match was scheduled to be played tomorrow but Annan have a Scottish Cup tie against Clydebank to play.

January 29 v Stenhousemuir (away)

February 5 v Kelty Hearts (away)

February 8 v Annan Athletic (home)

February 12 v Stranraer (home)

February 19 v Cowdenbeath (away)

February 26 v Stirling Albion (home)
