ELGIN City have secured the signatures of two new players ahead of this afternoon's League Two clash with Forfar Athletic.

City manager Gavin Price said after the 2-1 home defeat against Stirling Albion that the Black and Whites were aiming to have two new faces in before today.

The names of those two new signings were confirmed at the weekend – with Aaron Reid joining on loan from Aberdeen and Mitchell Taylor moving north from Camelon Juniors.

Both players will be available for the trip to Forfar – with today's match kicking off at 3pm.

Centre forward Aaron Reid moved to Aberdeen from Turriff United after an impressive start to the Highland League campaign at The Haughs, and will now gain SPFL experience at City.

Winger Mitchell Taylor impressed when Camelon travelled to Borough Briggs to take on City in the Scottish Cup earlier this season.

As Price confirmed last week, Lewis Nicolson has returned to Inverness Caledonian Thistle due to an injury crisis at the Championship club. It is hoped that he is able to return at the end of the month.

Fellow left-back Greig Young has also left City, returning to parent club Raith Rovers – also due to a high number of injuries in their squad.
