Price confirmed that winger Conor O’Keefe is leaving City at the end of this season and is opening negotiations on new deals with several other players.

The City boss hopes to offer contracts to Rabin Omar and Kane O’Connor, who both signed short term deals late this season.

He already has ten first team regulars snapped up for 2022-23 and beyond, and will look to source more signings in the summer.

For now, Price is aiming to finish a disappointing current season on a high with positive results in their four remaining matches.

The Black and Whites drew 0-0 at Albion Rovers last week, with a fourth clean sheet in five games being an encouraging aspect for their manager.

“Although we wanted to win the game on Saturday, it is something that keeps us in touch with the teams above us and we can go into Saturday(at home to Stenhousemuir) with confidence,” he said.

“Our home form in the last three games has been really consistent so hopefully we can get on the front foot on Saturday.

“It’s form that I know this squad has been capable of all season and it’s disappointing that we haven’t managed to piece that together through the season.

“We had a bad start and picked up in January, then we had a bad February which didn’t allow us to get to where we wanted to be.

“But we see what is in front of us now and we will be determined to pick up as many points as we can and get ourselves in good shape for next season.”

Price revealed that former St Mirren and Annan man O’Keefe is leaving after three seasons at Borough Briggs. “We decided earlier in the season that he is going to move on at the end of the season with the travel from Glasgow and not playing regularly.

“We looked at the possibility of moving him on but he wanted to finish the season with us, which is good. Conor has been a good player for us over the last three seasons and he will go with our best wishes.”

Tom McHale, Matthew Cooper, Darryl McHardy, Russell Dingwall, Brian Cameron, Aidan Sopel, Kane Hester, Josh Peters, Fin Allen and Angus Mailer are signed for next season.

Evan Towler will return Aberdeen and Ross Draper and Jevan Anderson to Cove Rangers when their loan deals expire in May.
