The team that knocked Elgin City out of the play-offs last Tuesday with a late goal have it all to do in Thursday's second leg of the final.

Dumbarton, who finished second bottom in League 1 and defeated Stranraer 1-0 on aggregate in the play-off semis, proved a tough nut for Edinburgh to crack last night.

The capital side led at half time on home soil through a Robbie McIntyre strike.

However Jim Duffy's men hit back with goals by Ryan McGeever, Tomas Brindley and Morgyn Neill to give themselves a great chance of staying in League 1 next term.

Edinburgh beat Elgin 3-2 on aggregate, as Josh Campbell's 88th minute wonder strike ended the Black and Whites' campaign at the penultimate stage.
