Jags became only the second team in the league's history to win the title with a perfect 100 per cent record following their 3-2 success over Kinloss Sappers on Friday.

They also became the first club to finish unbeaten twice to lift the league crown.

Stewart McLaren was Jags' title-winning hero with a hat0trick in their hard-fought 3-2 victory over the Army barracks side.

The striker is also top of this season's goalscoring charts with 15 goals, and has netted a grand total of 230 goals at this level since 2013.

Kinloss put up a great fight and goals by Michael Lawton and Duncan Menzies pushed the champs all the way.

Mosset Tavern beat Nairn United 4-2 with Fraser Thom, Dale McLennan, Rory Grant, and Matthew Herley scoring for the Forres men and. Kyle Torrie and Hamish Ambrose replying for the visitors.

Elgin Albion leapfrogged The Vikings into sixth place after defeating Caberfeidh 6-3 in a derby clash.

The Vikings themselves had to battle back from behind with ten men to secure a 4-4 draw with Elgin Caledonian.

Craig Harrold, Ryan Cowie, Thomas Foster, and a Scot Hector own goal made up the Caley goal tally, while Lukasz Wawrzyniak (2), Tomasz Kielbasa and Scot Hector earning redemption for his own goal with a late strike to land a point.

Champs Elgin Thistle have completed their season but there is bragging rights at stake when the remaining teams play their final fixtures on Friday.
