The venue provided a safe place for people to come and try the sport out.

On the lookout for new members, Moravian were successful in having two new families join.

The courses were well planned, with the junior courses being within the park whilst others ran through the centre of Elgin. Some even got to use an escalator on their course.

This combination of open parkland and intricate alleyways led to some debatable route choice keeping the orienteers on their toes.

On Sunday, Moravian's neighbouring club INVOC (Inverness Orienteering Club) hosted a SOL (Scottish Orienteering League) event in the technical woods of Anagach.

The wood is bog central with knee-deep heather to add to the challenge making it physically tough. However on this cool autumn day many orienteers found joy bounding around these woods.

The double orienteering event, both within an hour of each other, meant many made a weekend of it staying in the north to compete.

The most successful Moravian family was the Howards, with Sophie winning W16 on Saturday and W14 on Sunday. Her sister Anna won W12 on Saturday.
