A SERIES of girls' football finals are set to take place in Elgin at the weekend.

On Saturday, November 20, five matches are set to take place at The Gleaner Arena in the town, starting at 9am and finishing at 5pm.

The finals are all part of the Youth North Regional League Cup, which is organised by Scottish Women's Football.

At 9am, Thistle Girls will play Ross County in the Highlands under 13s final, while Aberdeen Youth will take on Grampian Girls United in the Aberdeenshire under 13s final.

At 11.30am, Deveronvale will take on Donside in the Aberdeenshire under 17s final, with the Shire 15s final seeing Colony Park and Aberdeen Reds clash.

The last game is at 5pm, with Ross County and Thistle Girls doing battle in the Highlands under 15s final. This match will be nine-a-side.

Trophy presentations for each match will be made straight after the game ends.

Alongside the competitive matches, there will be five and seven-a-side friendly round robin games for under 13s from 11am onwards. These will be played on the arena's smaller pitches.

There is a small entry fee of £5 for adults and £2 for concessions. Kids go for free.

Alongside the football, the Roast2Coast coffee van and The Big O burger van are coming down.

It is hoped that Abbie Sparkle and Kieran's Legacy will visit with their pop-up tents.
