ELGIN Thistle made it eight wins out of eight in some style to stay on track for the Forres and Nairn welfare league title.
Jags hammered fellow Elgin side Caberfeidh 11-2 and now face a vital Friday night encounter against Carisbrooke, one of their rivals to the championship crown.
Kinloss Sappers are also in the title mix and they also clocked up double figures against Caberfeidh this week to stay in contention.
In the ten-game league season, Elgin Thistle have won all eight games so far but their remaining two matches are at Carisbrooke this week and at home to Kinloss - their two rivals to the trophy.
Jags hit 11 against Caber with five players sharing the goals.
Stewart McLaren scored three and there were doubles for Gregor Gordon, Zac Mylchreest, Callum Owen, and Raymond Anderson.
Kinloss are six points behind the leaders with a game in hand and must beat Jags in their last game to keep their hopes alive.
The Sappers must also beat Carisbrooke, who they meet on Tuesday night.
A crushing 10-1 success at Caberfeidh on Monday sent out the message that the Army side are not giving up on the title.
There was an impressive debut performance from Jay Hubbard as he scored a hat-trick in the romp, while Gavin Damba, James Thomas (2), Scott Thomson, Paul Walker, Aaron Camplin and Ross Homer also scored for Sappers.
A penalty save from young keeper Will Dixon helped Elgin Albion beat Nairn United 2-1 for their second straight win. Currie and Robertson got the Albion goals and Liam Devine replied for Nairn.
Strikes by Ryan McPherson, Danny Gresham, Andrew McGee, and Liam Robinson landed on-form Westerlea a 4-1 success over The Vikings, whose goal came from Gary Burnett.
And there was a first point of the season for FC Elgin with Sam Watson's strike earning a 1-1 draw with Elgin Caledonian, a result that dumped Nairn United to the foot of the table.
