Rowley and his assistant Craig Ewen have penned three-year extensions to keep them at Mechanics until 2021.

"They have been loyal to me and I have returned that when I've been given the opportunity to go elsewhere," said the Forres boss. "I'm really happy here so that's the main thing."

Rowley is the longest serving Highland League boss, since taking over from Gordon Winton in 2010.

"This takes me to over ten years as manager. I think I need another two and it's close to being 20 years involved with Mechanics."

Forres are on the crest of a wave right now, with Saturday's 9-1 win at Fort William being their ninth consecutive victory.

They will go for ten-in-a-row when they play host to Inverurie Locos in a league clash on Saturday.
