FORRES Mechanics returned to fifth spot in the Highland League after a midweek win.
The Cans came from behind to defeat Wick Academy 2-1 at Mosset Park on Wednesday.
It was Mechanics' 11th league win out of their last 13 outings, taking them back above Moray rivals Buckie into the top five.
Wick struck first when ex-Forres man Gordon MacNab fired home midway through the first half.
On-form Caley Thistle loan striker Andy Macrae then netted for the fifth game running to bring Forres level within ten minutes.
The winner came from the penalty spot with Alan Pollock, back from an ankle injury, scoring after a handball offence.
Pollock passed up a secod spot opportunity to seal the win, firing wide on 70 minutes after he had been fouled in the area.
Forres held on for the win, and are back on home soil this weekend when they take on Buckie Thistle.
Unbeaten Cove Rangers defeated Brora Rangers 1-0 to edge closer to the title, as they lead by four points with three games in hand.
Fraserburgh moved into second spot with a 2-1 win at Clach, and bottom side Fort William lost 2-0 at home to Nairn County.
