STEVEN Fraser has admitted his move to Forres Mechanics is a "dream come true".

The Rothes skipper completed his move to Mosset Park on Tuesday night after Forres came back in with a third and improved offer.

Fraser (21), Forres born and bred, still lives in the town and came through the Can-Cans under-17 ranks.

He failed to progress to the senior team at that age but following moves to Elgin City and then Rothes, he has earned a return to Mosset Park.

"I don't think it has sunk in yet. My heart was set on the move," he revealed.

Forres boss Charlie Rowley (pictured) said: "Steven ticks all the boxes as far as I am concerned. We are delighted to get him on board.

"He was the skipper of a rival Highland League club at the age of 21 which shows he has ability and he was desperate to play for us."

Rothes boss Graham McBeath was very disappointed to lose Fraser especially after his committee initially backed his position that the youngster was not for sale.

"It is very hard to keep pulling rabbits out of the hat in terms of finding players. If we want to progress up the league we have to try and keep our best players," he said.
