?IT’S been a good Castle Stuart day for the Scots so far at the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open.
Best of the third round so far is Stephen Gallacher’s 65 to take him to -11, but Martin Laird’s six birdies in 11 holes made him the joint lunchtime leader at 12 under.
That was until Soren Kjeldsen’s remarkable start of seven birdies in the first 8 put him two clear at 14 under at the top of the leaderboard.
Compatriots Alasdair Forsyth and Marc Warren had moved to ten under, but perhaps the performance of the day came from teenage amateur Jack MacDonald.
The Kilmarnock youngster thrilled his followers by birdieing the 18 for a terrific 68 to go eight under.
Second round joint leaders, Denmark’s Alexander Noren and Italy’s Francesco Molinari, were due to go out at 1.12pm.
