Former Can Cans players Neil Whyte, Kyle Scott, Ryan Green and Nathan Sharp were among guests making an appearance for the home side.

And taking pride of place was Grant's sister Nikki, a former Scotland women's international.

The Young Dons' Aaron Norris grabbed the only goal of the game four minutes into the second half.

Forres manager Charlie Rowley hailed his veteran centre-back as a model for younger players coming through. "Grapies is held in high regard by all. He gives his all week in week out, and his performance levels haven't declined," he said.

More in Friday's Scot.
