BONE-CRUNCHING, body-slamming action returns to Moray next weekend when a group of glamorous grapplers battle for supremacy in the ring.

The wrestlers will lock horns in Keith next Friday, September 16, as WrestleZone returns to the Friendly Town.

The family-friendly professional wrestling event will see grapplers from all over the North-east converge on Keith Sports and Community Centre for an evening of top-class action.

One of the grapplers looking to make his mark is Bryan Tucker (26), formerly of Elgin and now of Aberdeen, who has had a breakthrough year so far in 2011.

After two years of competing, Tucker finally won his first match in June, and since then has been on a roll.

In Keith, Tucker will face rookie Benjamin Steele, and the Aberdeen man is looking to score another big victory.

"Wrestling is a unique mix of sports and entertainment," he said. "My job is not only to win a wrestling match, but to entertain the fans along the way. Only recently have I been able to do both, and I’ve had a good deal of success this summer.

"But I have lost my last two matches, so this bout in Keith is important to my momentum. Benjamin Steele is a tough, if inexperienced, competitor. I know what it is like to be in his position, and he will be doing all he can to beat me.

"But my recent experience teaming up with former WWE wrestlers stands me in good stead going into this one."

Tucker continued: "Wrestling is the real-life version of ‘The X Factor’. Everyone has their favourite grappler, and we all take great pride in putting on a great show in the ring.

"The WrestleZone grapplers train hard, and people can expect a spectacular show that will put a smile on their face."

Tucker’s bout is just one of six on the card at Keith Sports and Community Centre. The event will be headlined by current WrestleZone champion Damien, who will defend his title against both Scotty Swift and Crusher Craib.

Also included on the bill are Los Cystos, Shawn Johnson, Sterling Oil and many more.

Admission is at the door only. Doors open at 7pm, with the action getting underway at 7.30pm.
