ALLAN Hale has raided his former club Maud to snap up two hot-shots who scored 45 goals between them last season.
Donald Fraser and Luke Barbour go into the Keith squad for tomorrow’s home game against defending champions Brora Rangers.
And they are joined by Bruce Raffell, who put pen to paper on a return to Kynoch Park on Wednesday night.
Hale said: “That will be all in the form of signings until the end of the season.”
The three captures are the start of him putting his own mark on the Maroons’ playing staff, and he has further added to his coaching team this week by bringing the last of his Maud contingent to Keith. Graeme Bain played for Fraserburgh and Rothes and will be working with the defenders.
Hale has high hopes for all his new signings, and expects Barbour – no relation to the Scott formerly of Fraserburgh and now of Formartine United – to make a big impact.
Barbour was a youth player at Elgin City under Kenny Black but turned his back on football to concentrate on being a golf pro at Cruden Bay. A chance chat led to him to him getting his boots back on at Maud.
Hale said: “Highland League clubs have been trying for four years to sign Luke."
