LOSSIEMOUTH chairman Royce Clark insists none of the club’s prized assets will be leaving Grant Park on the cheap.
In the aftermath of Charlie Charlesworth leaving the club to take the manager’s job at Deveronvale, Clark revealed that there has already been one bid for a player.
While not revealing who the player was, Clark did reveal that the offer from an un-named club was instantly dismissed.
Buckie Thistle are rumoured to be chasing Lossie striker Nikki Clark, who scored 22 goals last season and is from Buckie.
Clark fully expects Charlesworth to be interested in some of his former players.
However, he said: "Other teams have already been enquiring about players. I would say we have two, three or maybe even four players who are the best in the Highland League in their positions.
"I would say we have the best goalkeeper in the league and one of the top scoring centre forwards, so there will be a lot of interest."
A number of names have already been bandied about for the manager’s job and applications are starting to come in.
