BUCKIE Thistle were Highland League heroes after their battling Scottish Cup victory.

Highlights of ten-man Jags’ 2-1 win away to Lowland League champs Edinburgh City on Saturday can be seen below.

The William Hill You Tube clip shows Chris Angus’ glorious lobbed winner earn Graeme Stewart’s side a place in this week’s third round draw.

It also shows Jay Cheyne’s first half red card for retaliation and a fine header by Buckie defender Iaian MacRae to level the scores in the second half.

As many as eight Highland League clubs could be in the draw along with a string of SPFL sides.

Huntly shocked East Stirling to go through along with Formartine United and Inverurie Locos.

Forres Mechanics replay against East Kilbride at Mosset Park this weekend, as do Wick Academy and Nairn County.

And there are two more all-Highland League ties scheduled to play this Saturday, due to last week’s postponement of Turriff v Fraserburgh and Fort William v Cove Rangers.
