ELGIN City stand-in goalkeeper Stewart Black was proud to be voted man of the match in his team’s narrow cup defeat against Raith on Saturday.
And the 20-year-old rates a save he made from Raith striker Mark Stewart as one of the best he has made in his career (see William Hill Scottish Cup highlights video below).
City lost 2-1 despite a late rally against their Championship opponents, with manager Jim Weir saying he felt his team deserved a replay.
With St Johnstone loan keeper Mark Hurst not being allowed to play in Elgin’s cup matches, deputy Black again came in and produced some good saves to help the home cause.
The pick of the bunch was a full stretch stop from Stewart’s piledriver when the score was 1-0 to Raith.
"It’s just about as good a save as I’ve made for Elgin," he said. "It was close with one against Morton (in the League Cup this season) where I’ve blocked at the back post at 0-0.
"It’s definitely up there in my top three."
Black also pointed out on Twitter that he had saved a first half Stewart shot which many believed had hit the post.

The YouTube highlights don't show some of City's second half chances as they ran their Kirkcaldy opponents close.
