For the 17-year-old played for her country in all four T20 tour matches against Ireland in Belfast this week.

A product of Huntly Cricket Club, she now plays for Stoneywood-Dyce men's team in the national league and had represented Scotland at junior level.

Twice selected to play for Scotland's senior 'Wildcats' women's team against Ireland, Lister was disappointed to see both tours postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Hoping to make it third time lucky when the tour was rearranged for Northern Ireland this week, she saw her debut hopes dashed again when Sunday's first match was abandoned due to the weather.

Finally, Lister took to the field for the Wildcats on Monday when the opening match went ahead at the Stormont cricket ground, and she made a memorable start.

Scotland batted first and Lister came to the crease in the middle of the order.

She smashed a full toss delivery for four to bring up the Scottish 50 on her way to a debut innings of six, as her team completed their 20 overs with a score of 87 for 9.

Lister then did her fielding duties in the Irish innings, forcing a run out with a great piece of fielding at long-on to deny Ireland a second run as they fell just short of Scotland's total and were all out for 76.

Scotland weren't able to add to their first match win, as Ireland won the next three for the overall series victory.

The home team hit form with an impressive innings of 137 for 4 in match two, Scotland being bowled out for 76 in 100 balls with Lister scoring four of them.

She managed her highest score of the tour in game three on Wednesday, cracking another fine boundary in an innings of seven as Scotland managed 93 in response to Ireland's 134 for 8.

Needing victory to draw the series on Thursday, the Scots women clocked up their highest score of 99 which Ireland surpassed with more than six overs to spare.
