LOOKING up, not down, Ross Jack has his sights set on Stranraer in more ways than one.

The Elgin City boss admits his focus is more on the five-point gap to Saturday’s visitors to Borough Briggs in second place and not the nine-point advantage his team has over Annan Athletic in fifth place.

And upbeat Jack wants his team to end the season having beaten every other team in the league at least once.

Stranraer are the only side they have failed to beat this term so far, with just one point from three clashes so far.

"We are closer to the teams above us than the ones below us. If we could win on Saturday we would be just two points behind them," said Jack.

"I believe we have been the better team in the three games against Stranraer, but only have one point to show for it."

Stranraer are the league’s top scorers so an open and exciting game is on the cards.

Jack is hoping for another bumper Borough Briggs attendance following the last home game against Peterhead, when City recorded their biggest home league crowd, 1072, in 12 years.

"Let’s hope we can reward the fans this time, because we let them down against Peterhead before a huge crowd.
