The village's St Aethan's Bowling Club played host to the annual Murray Cormie Memorial Pairs event, held as a tribute to a long-standing club stalwart.

The tournament is held over three days and attracted an entry of more than 80 pairs from across the district.

The two outstanding pairs of the weekend were Keith Bowling Club's Davie Bell and Karen Dalgarno, and Fochabers BC father-and-son duo Davie and Travis Thompson, who battled their way through to Sunday's final.

Bell and Dalgarno produced a fine performance to take the title for the first time.
