The 23-year-old, who has had two spells with the Maroons, told the club he wanted to find a club closer to his Aberdeen base.

The Kynoch Park club said on their Facebook page: "Craig had advised the Managers that he could not commit to the travelling and was looking for a club in Aberdeen area to continue his career.

"We take this opportunity to thank Craig for his dedication and commitment to the club over the last few years and leaves the Maroons with 149 appearances and 19 goals for the club."

Keith have already seen goalkeeper David Dey move to Turriff United and centre back Ryan Spink join Formartine United, with Callum Porteous also leaving the club.

Striker James Olumofe, midfielder Lee Scott, defender Kieran Yeats and keeper Greg Simpson are all available for transfer.

Co-managers Andy Roddie and Tommy Wilson have brought in keeper Craig Reid, midfielders Mikey Ironside and Tom Andrews and striker Luke Emmett.
