ELGIN City fell victim to a Kelty Hearts revenge mission at New Central Park.
Eleven days after defeating the League 2 leaders at Borough Briggs, City crashed to a 4-0 defeat in Fife.
With captain Euan Spark and fellow stopper Darryl McHardy out injured, City handed a debut to trialist stopper Kane O'Connor.
They quickly fell behind to a Kallum Higginbotham penalty opener and Alfie Agyeman made it 2-0 before the half hour mark.
Kane Hester, in his 100th appearance for Elgin, looked to add to his match-winning double against Kelty with a fine run and shot which forced a good save out of Darren Jamieson.
Rabin Omar struck a post for the visitors as they tried to find a way back in the contest.
Michael Tidser fired home a superb free kick to make it 3-0 early in the second half.
Agyeman then added his second on the rebound after McHale denied Tidser with a save on to the post.
Next up for Elgin are back-to back home games against Stranraer on Saturday and Annan Athletic the following Tuesday.
