Lossiemouth beat Fort William to climb off bottom spot in the Highland League

LOSSIEMOUTH completed a Highland League double over Fort William to climb off the bottom of the table.

The Coasters replicated their 2-0 success over Fort last year in Saturday's match, which was switched to Grant Park from waterlogged Claggan Park.

Second half goals by Kyle Willis and captain Liam Archibald were enough to take Lossie above their opponents in the league.

Keith led second placed Inverurie Locos for a lomng spell thanks to Michael Selfridge's strike before half time.

However Locos came good in the end, netting through Jamie Michie, Andy Hunter and Chris Angus for a 3-1 win at Kynoch Park.

Huntly were too strong for Clach as goals by Logan Johnstone, Reece McKeown and Kai Ross earned a 3-0 win at Christie Park.

Brora Rangers all but wrapped up the title with a 2-1 win away to one of their strongest challengers, Fraserburgh.

Broch even took the lead in the second half through Sean Butcher but the Cattachs immediately levelled with a Dale Gillespie penalty, and Paul Brindle plundered a crucial late winner.

The games at Forres, Nairn, Wick and Strathspey Thistle were postponed.
