LOSSIEMOUTH secured an early festive boost as they grabbed only their second win of the league season in 13 games.
A late double from Ross Archibald earned Kevin Walker's side a 3-1 win at Grant Park.
Ricky Wardrop had given them an early lead in the first half and they missed chances to add to the tally before half-time.
And when Darren Quigg levelled from the penalty spot after Tony Ross fouled Ryan McDonald on 73 minutes, the game looked to be running away from the Coasters.
However, a lucky break of the ball was clinically finished off by Archibald 11 minutes from time and two minutes later he swept home a third goal.
Boss Walker (pictured) said: "I am delighted to get the three points but we have played a lot better this season.
"I was worried when they scored the penalty but that really seemed to give us a kick up the backside that we needed in the second half.
"We didn't really get going at all in the second half until Fort William equalised."
Elsewhere, Forres Mechanics continued their revival with a 1-0 at Brora Rangers thanks to a goal from Kyle Scott.
Buckie Thistle held league leaders Cove Rangers to a 1-1 draw at Victoria Park. Jordan Sutherland gave the Jags a 3rd minute lead, only for Jordan Leyden to level in the second half.
Rothes went down 3-1 at Clach, with Greg Simpson getting a late consolation for the Speysiders.
Huntly were beaten 3-2 at Fraserburgh after being 2-1 up thanks to a double from Andrzej Kleczkowski.
Nairn County and Inverurie Locos shared the points with a 3-3 draw at Station Park.
In the Scottish Cup, Deveronvale were just two minutes away from bringing Raith back to Banff for a replay before crashing out 2-1.
Turriff Utd held first division Morton 1-1 in Aberdeenshire to earn themselves a replay in Greenock.
