LOSSIEMOUTH have been handed a boost after the full Coasters' squad agreed to one-year contract extensions until 2024.
Interim manager Ian Campbell is not yet sure how long he will be in the hot seat, but he has set about laying the foundations for the future.
In addition to the one-year extensions, Adam MacLeod, who has spent this season on loan at Grant Park from Buckie Thistle, has signed with Lossie permanently, and former player Tony Ross has joined as a first team coach.
A blow was dealt to Lossie, though, when Ross County recalled goalkeeper Logan Ross to send him out to Brora Rangers on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
"We got the players signed up to another year at training before the Forres game," Campbell said.
"They are on board with what we are trying to do. We always said this was a three or four-year project.
"Adam signing is a boost – he just needs to get himself on the scoresheet, but he's almost fully fit now which he hasn't been.
"We are a bit sick about Logan leaving but it's Ross County's choice. The loan benefitted us and Logan so good luck to him at Brora. The door is always open for a return.
"Cammy Farquhar is just returning from injury and is a good goalkeeper so I'm sure he will do well.
"Tony Ross is coming in to give us a hand. He was 10 years with Lossie and has always been on our radar.
"He's managed in the juniors with Forres Thistle and gained some experience so we'll see how he gets on. Hopefully he'll be in the dugout for Saturday."
There has been plenty to do off the pitch for Campbell – but he's also had a double header with Moray rivals Forres Mechanics to take care of.
After a 1-0 defeat at Mosset Park, Lossie picked up their first point in seven games with a 0-0 at Grant Park on Friday night.
Three red cards were shown in the match – with two going to Lossie defenders Niall Kennedy, for two yellows, and Dean Stewart, for dissent.
"A draw was fair on a poor night for football," Campbell said. "It wasn't the greatest game but the weather was horrendous.
"But just to grind out a game is a boost and a point gives us a lift.
"We felt Niall's first yellow was soft and the referee was quick to get his card out, but the second we can't argue with.
"Dean wasn't happy because we felt Forres should have had a yellow for a late tackle, but he shouldn't have done what he did and we have spoken to him about that."
Despite Kennedy and Stewart's suspensions, Lossie have a strong squad heading to Formartine United on Saturday, Campbell added.
"We are pretty much at full strength," he said.
"We gave Formartine a good game at the start of the season but we'll go through as underdogs, which is how we like it."
