FORRES Mechanics kept their William Hill Scottish Cup hopes alive with a battling display in East Kilbride.

The Forres bar was rattled twice during a 1-1 draw on the artificial pitch at the K Park Training Academy, see highlights video below.

The footage shows Dachi Khutsishvili’s superb strike find the net to give Mechanics the lead early in the second half.

It was the Georgian’s second goal in the Scottish Cup having netted for Elgin City against Dunfermline Athletic a couple of years ago.

East Kilbride quickly levelled through former Stranraer player Sean Winter and the teams must replay at Mosset Park this Saturday.

Both teams will know who they face in the next round if they win, as the third round draw is made on Thursday at 10am.
