LOSSIE keeper Darren McConnachie nose the secret to keeping a clean sheet – a little but of luck and a big hooter.

Mini was the star of the show for the Coasters, certainly in the first half, as he repelled Huntly to earn his side a valuable 1-0 win.

"I am the kind of person who always plays things down. You need a wee bit of luck to make the saves," said Mini.

A double save in particular was the highlight for Mini.

"I was able to save the free kick and got back up quickly and the ball hit me on the nose from the follow-up.

"I don’t know if it was good goalkeeping or luck. I have a big nose which helped me," he joked.

Despite getting the points at Christie Park, Mini admitted Lossie still didn’t play that well.

Lossie will put their growing stature to the test this Saturday as league leaders Forres Mechanics visit Grant Park.

The Mechanics won 1-0 earlier in the season at Mosset Park in a game which saw Lossie unable to find an equaliser against a side reduced to 10 men for most of the game.

"I am looking forward to the game on Saturday as it always a big one against Forres. They are going really well and look unstoppable at the moment," he said.
