The event took place in beautiful scattered birch woodlands over detailed often rocky ground.

The temperature dropped significantly from the previous week but the rain stayed away for the duration so the running conditions were fine, although waiting around saw people huddled in winter clothing.

The star performers for Moravian were Kate and Finlay McLuckie, both of whom came a close second in their 16- classes.

Finlay beat Isobel Howard (W18-), who had a slow start, into overall third place, although she also won her age group.

Sophie Howard came a good fifth in a big W16- field well beating all the adults that shared her course.
