Moray's young badminton stars took on the best Scottish rivals at an Inverness event - and one proved to be the star of the show.
Elgin Academy pupil and Scotland international Callum McWhirter dominated his under-17 age group at Sunday's tournament, which was organised by Highland Badminton Group.
Held at Inverness Leisure Centre, the competition attracted 45 players from across the country to compete in two age groups.
McWhirter was the star of the older age group's boys category, completing a treble trophy success.
In the under-17 boys, he took on Glasgow rival Freddie Harris in the semi-finals, winning 21-6, 21-9.
Skye's Calum Mackenzie edged out Aberdeen’s Aditya Nagdeve in the other semi but was no match in the final for McWhirter, who triumphed 21-9, 21-3.
He teamed up with Black Isle-based player William Sendall in the boys' doubles, which was played in a round-robin format.
The pair didn't drop a single set in their four matches, winning the title comfortably with Aberdeen’s Aditya Nagdeve and Aayush Sinha finishing second.
McWhirter duly won the mixed doubles crown with Caithness-based partner Chloe Mackenzie, again winning all matches in the round-robin group and dropping just 16 points in the six sets they won.
This meant that both players had completed a treble in their age group, a feat matched by Caithness player Sophie Mackay in the under-13 age group.
Mackay teamed up with fellow Caithness player Liam Sinclair to defeat Moray pair Finn Wishart and Rene Curtis 21-4, 21-13 in the under-13 mixed doubles semi-finals.
Another Moray pairing, Jai Wilkes and Amie Roger lost out 21-10, 21-7 to West of Scotland’s Atharv Sharma and Black Isle’s Josie Columbine in the other semi-final.
In the under-17 girls singles, two Moray players contested the consolation final with Sophie Howard beating Kaiya Wilkes 21-6.
Kaiya Wilkes also teamed up with Caithness' Chloe Begg in the girls' doubles, losing to Caithness pair Chloe Mackenzie and Ava Cook 21-4, 21-9 in a straight final.
